Emily Curtice and C'airra Carter 1st and 3rd Place Women's Pentathlon, 1st Place High Jump - GMAC Indoor Championships 2023

Tiffin multi-event athletes Emily Curtice and C'airra Carter were first and third overall in the women's pentathlon at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships at Niss Athletic Center at Ashland University in Ohio. Curtice captured the title with 3,397 points, including a personal-best effort in the shot put to win with a mark of 40-6.75 (12.36m), along with a lifetime-best 9.44 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump of 17-8.75 (5.40m). Carter accumulated 3,232 points, including personal-best performances of 31-7.25 (9.63m) in the shot put, 17-10.25 (5.44m) in the long jump and 2:46.40 in the 800 meters. Carter also won the championship in the women's high jump with a 5-6 (1.68m) clearance, in addition to earning eighth in the open long jump with a leap of 17-6 (5.33m), ninth in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.32 seconds and 12th in the triple jump with a 33-10.75 (10.33m) effort.
